Project Backpack is partially through its 16th Annual Campaign, and we are thrilled with the outpouring of support, compassion, & community-spirit shared by all our school partners.

To date, nine schools, Mulgrave School, Queensbury Elementary, Gladstone Secondary, Sir Charles Tupper’s Kindness Club, University Transition Program, Ecole Cleveland Elementary & Southridge School have completed their campaigns, with seven additional schools ( Selkirk Elementary, Mountainside, WPGA, Handsworth,  Ridgeway, Highland & Sir Winston Churchill )  completing  their charitable drive this spring.

Hundreds of packs have been donated, and all were dropped off to youth centres in Greater Vancouver for distribution to homeless youth.

An extra big thank-you goes out to long-time supporter, Southridge School, for donating 100++ backpacks this season, combined with hundreds of dollars’ worth of gift cards.

Kudos to Administrator, Laura, for spreading her enthusiasm throughout the whole school.

Another long-time supporter, West Coast Beauty, donated over $2700 worth of hair/body product; & Foot Locker ran a winter coats/boots collection, with all proceeds being donated to PBP.

Another new partner is BC Hydro, who donated 40 backpacks, 41 BC Hydro jackets and $175 in gift cards through their Marketing Communications team.
