HYC Road to Success

Established in 2011 as a non-profit (Charitable BN# 84245 9109 RR001), H.E.L.P for Youth Canada’s mandate is to give at-risk youth a chance at a better life through education and mentorship.

The H.E.L.P. program works with social service agencies, community-based service providers, non-profit organizations and alternative schools to identify youth who have participated in their programming and demonstrated a desire to learn a skill or trade and build a new life.

H.E.L.P. works with agencies to select youth who are ready to take on this next challenge. Together with the support worker/case worker H.E.L.P assists youth through the application process, budgeting and maintaining contact with these youth as a mentor to work towards successful completion of their education.

A large part of our mandate is to ensure that the youth we partner with are fully supported. A youth that has wrap-around care stands a better chance of succeeding in school and life. This means each youth we sponsor has a case worker, an insightful individual from the education institution and a member of the H.E.L.P. team working with them to provide full wrap-around care.

Once we partner with a youth, and if the youth is doing their best, and are stable and meeting their criteria, H.E.L.P. for Youth Canada offers a sincere long-term commitment to the youth we partner with.
